BDO worldwide

BDO International was founded in Europe in 1963, when accountancy firms from the UK, Germany, The Netherlands, USA and Canada joined to form the Binder Seidman International Group. Ten years later, the European member firms took on the common name of Binder Dijker Otte & Co. (after founding entities). The current world wide structure was put in place in 1988, including the use of the BDO acronym before Member Firms’ names, and the implementation of the BDO logo and corporate identity.BDO.

Each BDO Member Firm is an independent legal entity in its own country. Today the network is composed by 626 offices in 110 countries and a staff of more than 32.000 profesionals.

In 2007, global fee income of BDO International totalled U$S  34.703,8 ,1 million, showing a  20% increase as compared to the preceding period.

The sustained expansion of BDO worldwide  (the only organisation in its sector exhibiting a 2-digit growth rate over the last years) gives proof to the viability and effectiveness of its proposal, a unique combination which makes the difference. BDO is global and local. It provides all the local flexibility and identity of Member Firms, supported by the resources of the global network.
